2. What personal information we collect

When you enquire about or book our services through this website's forms, we may collect:

• Your name, phone number, and email address

• Your physical address or general area (for pickup/drop-off matching)

• Details about the person needing the lift (for school lifts: your child's name, age, school, and activity schedule; for elderly lifts: the client's name and any relevant needs you choose to share, such as mobility requirements)

• Any other details you choose to include in a form's message field

We only collect what we need to arrange and provide the lift service you've asked about.
 

3. How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

• Respond to your enquiry and arrange a quote

• Match you with a suitable Granny driver

• Coordinate pickup, drop-off, and schedule details

• Contact you about your booking 

• Improve our service based on feedback

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your separate consent.
 

4. Children's personal information

Our school lift service involves collecting information about children. By submitting a school lift enquiry, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child named in that form, and that you consent to us processing the child's details (name, school, schedule, pickup/drop-off details) for the purpose of arranging and providing transport.

We do not knowingly collect children's personal information directly from children themselves — all school lift enquiries must come from a parent or guardian.
 

5. Cookies

Our website is built on Wix and uses essential cookies only — these allow the site to function correctly (for example, basic security and session handling) and do not require your consent to operate.

We do not currently use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising trackers, or other non-essential tracking cookies on this site.

6. Where your information is stored

Because our website is hosted on Wix, form submissions and related data may be stored and processed on servers outside South Africa. Wix maintains its own data protection safeguards for this purpose. We only use your information for the purposes described in this policy, regardless of where it is technically stored, and we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with South African law.
 

7. How long we keep your information

• Enquiry and booking details: kept for up to 48 months from your last contact with us, then deleted unless you become an ongoing client, in which case we retain records for as long as the service relationship continues plus a reasonable period after.

• If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so unless we're legally required to keep it (for example, financial records).
   

8. Your rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

• Ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information

• Withdraw consent you've previously given

• Ask us to delete or stop processing your information

• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe we've mishandled your information
